Coming Soon: Tower of Terror Clue

It looks like another version of Clue is coming out. It's a theme park exclusive from Disney: The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Clue.

(Source: Disney)

It appears to be a theme park exclusive much like the previously released Haunted Mansion Clue. That game is exclusively available in the theme parks in a special tin version. A "lesser" version was released a few years ago by Toys R Us in a box, with the only notable change being the pawns for the ghosts changed from full glow-in-the-dark figures to simple plastic pieces with stickers. I picked up the later version and we've used it at various Clue nights. (I did contemplate buying the full Disney tin version during our trip in September, but just couldn't justify the cost.)

According to the press information, the new Tower of Terror version is being released November 17, 2007 at WDW's Downtown Disney. While it is a theme park exclusive, you can order it via mail order (and eBay, of course).

In this new version, it looks like Pluto got the boot in favor of classic villain Pegleg Pete. Interesting choice.

Always nice to have a new version of Clue hit the market... even if it's an overpriced Disney version! ($40? Are you crazy?)

Not even close. There have probably been 30-40 domestic versions of Clue released. More if you factor in the ones from the UK, where Clue was invented.

In contrast, there are so many versions of Monopoly they are almost impossible to count. 100+
