Coming Soon: Clue: Seinfeld

I'm starting to think that the new rules and game system that Hasbro introduced with Clue Reinvention was nothing more than a play to attract licensees to brand the game, because that seems to be the case as of late. There's a ton of (seemingly weak) tie-ins coming out under the Clue brand (see 24 Clue, Clue: The Office). Next on the list? Clue: Seinfeld. Sigh.

This version of Clue is based on the NBC comedy, Seinfeld, that ran from 1989-1998. Seems kinda late to get in on the license for this property, but given how Hasbro has been whoring out the brand lately, doesn't surprise me.

The official description:

"Newman is blackmailing everyone with an embarrassing newsletter until someone bonks him over the head and steals it. Solve the mystery to determine WHO knocked out Newman, and with WHAT! Was it Jerry, Elaine, George, Kramer, Puddy, or Frank Constanza?"

That has to be one of the weakest premises I've ever read.
