Pepsi Blue
And you thought Mountain Dew Code Red was wacky?
Pepsi is coming out with a blue cola called, get this, Pepsi Blue (original name, huh?). They call it a "a fusion of berry and cola". Kinda reminds me of the blue Gatorade (which, ironically, Pepsi now owns). I give Pepsi credit, though... they are kicking Coke's butt in the "hip and trendy" drink category, from their products to their marketing... they obviously have a plan and are hitting on all motors! ![]() Click for press release I'll try it at least once.... |

Blue...
I'll probably give it a shot. I though Code Red was a lousy drink, too watered down for me. But, I'll try most things once, so we'll see.
I agree Pepsi has been much more adventurous and proactive in the cola market. It will be interesting to see how Coke responds.

Nice!
Well, I must say, coming form a college with a major in Packaging and art design, that the design of the logo is really sweet. So overall, just aestheticy it's great, as a foods major.

Blue...
I hope I can find this somewhere around Anderson. I'm sure we're not in the first shipping, but soon. I'll be in St. Louis later this week, maybe they'll have some.
A blue drink...too cool!

Blue...
Actually picked this up in Anderson last week. I liked it. The blue color is cool, and the label is actually clear, and colored by the liquid. As for the taste, it is very much berry. It's still pretty sweet--like Pepsi--but tastes different than regular colas. It is worth trying. I could drink it on a regular basis if they made a diet version.
Incidentally, I heard they are going to release a diet vanilla coke later this fall.

Amy and I got Blue over the weekend. It rocks. I love it! Great taste and unique flavor.
Also saw Diet Vanilla Coke in a store in MI on our trip to Canada over the weekend. More later. |
